Parks in Stroud

We’ve done the leg work for you and have visited a few of our favourite parks in Stroud and the surrounding villages to check out what’s on offer. Discovering a new place to go for a quick run around or to spend the entire day is an exciting prospect (especially when you have access to hot tea and coffee – Horsley park I’m looking at you)
If you fancy a change, or are looking for somewhere new to take the kids, here is a run down of a few of our favourite parks in the Stroud area –

Parks in Stroud

Summer Crescent, Stroud
Set back off the main road behind an estate of houses, Summer Crescent park is almost a hidden gem. Enough equipment for younger and older children, the park has a wooden obstacle course, a fort, a climbing frame plus some great apparatus for little ones. Find out more

Horsley park, Horsley
You could quite easily spend the entire day at Horsely park. Attractive wooden equipment including a fort plus a sandpit that can keep children entertained for hours. Set behind the fort is a basket ball court and small nature area.. and the best bit is it’s situated right next to Horsley village shop, full of essential everyday bits including ice creams and cake! Snakey park, Eastington
Situated next to Eastington community centre and with a lovely view of the allotments, Snakey park has a large variety of wooden play equipment. Suitable for children of all ages, there is a something for everyone here, from zip lines, to wooden instruments to tunnels. Find out more

Daisy Bank, Stroud
A firm favourite with the local Stroud mums, Daisy Bank is situated a short walk from Stroud hospital. Daisy bank park is (unsurprisingly) a pretty grass hill with picturesque views of the surrounding area. The playground is right at the top and although relatively small still has plenty to keep the kids entertained. Find out more

Stratford Park, Stroud
Located just outside of Stroud town centre Stratford park is an enormous 56 acres of park and arboretum, it has a leisure centre with both indoor and outdoor pools, plus tennis courts, a bowling green, a large skate park and several play parks which although dated have equipment for all ages.
