Starting at dusk, Samhain on 31 October marks the New Year in the ancient Celtic calendar and Halloween in the modern one. It’s a time when it’s thought the veil between our world and that of the Fae is at its thinnest and all sorts of shenanigans and revels occur. Prepare for the festivities early by coming to the wood to carve your own jack-o-lantern, marvel as our professional chainsaw artist carves their pumpkin, shudder as our storyteller tells you tales of Stingy Jack and his turnip lantern (the original Jack of the Lantern) all the while warming yourself around our roaring bonfire (or bone-fire, as once it was known…). And for all those courageous enough to brave the will-o-the-wisps, the boggarts, and the fairies, there is overnight camping too.

This is an evening for families, friends, and fans of all things that go bump in the night!
