There's joy and laughter around the wetlands this Christmas.

Join us for a charming new family experience for 2026 - Wetland Wonderland at WWT Slimbridge.

Date: Every Saturday and Sunday in December until Christmas, plus Monday 21st, Tuesday 22nd and Wednesday 23rd.
Location: WWT Slimbridge, Slimbridge, GL2 7BT
Tickets: Included in admission to WWT Slimbridge and free for WWT members.
Admission tickets from £17.91 per adult and £11.84 per child. Under 3s go free.

Listen to Waterlily the elf's story in her enchanting library before setting off to find the characters from the story around the wetlands, spotting festive cracker jokes and wow-facts along the way with the help of your Little Book of Joy. Then, head to Cuddle the elf's workshop to make a willow star tree-topper to take home.

Afterwards, warm up at the indoor festive market with hot food, local artisan stalls and live music from the choir in the Swan Café.

Storytime, Trail, and Crafts:
5th - 23rd December
This Christmas, join a magical family adventure at WWT Slimbridge and help save the festive season. Follow the enchanting 'How the Slimbridge Swans Saved Christmas' story trail, spot wow-facts and jokes alongside Santa's elves, and discover what makes WWT Slimbridge so special in winter. Along the way, enjoy festive crafts, get creative with Christmas-themed activities and make memories together on a fun-filled seasonal day out in Gloucestershire.

Santa's Grotto:
5th - 23rd December
Santa would love to meet your little explorer when he stops by his favourite wetland this December. Meet Santa inside his twinkly grotto and receive a very special gift: Lottie the otter, straight from our enchanting Christmas story and trail.
Tickets: £15 per child — not included with admission or membership.
