Have your say - Look at the initial plans, walk the site and share your ideas. Composting - Expert advice, information and activities. Raised bed and bird box assembling - Can you help us? Volunteers needed. Slimbridge Gardening Club - will be joining us!

For families - Nature focussed activities, including a Scavenger Hunt with prizes, making seed bombs and pick up your climate and nature challenge pack.

View nature under the microscope - See bugs, plants, seeds and more. Seed & Plant Swap - Swap your spare seeds and plants. Bring a table and what you'd like to swap. Lots of information - On gardening for wildlife, adapting to climate change and more.

Can you picture it; our playing field with a space for growing food and herbs, fruit trees, wildflowers and new habitats for wildlife? Well with your help we can make that picture a reality, join with us to build a wonderful nature friendly, green, shared space for everyone in our community.

Your efforts won’t be building just any old garden - it’s a space where:

• Children can learn where their food comes from, grow it, eat it, and watch the butterflies, that pollinated the vegetables, thrive.

• Your work will be helping our community be more sustainable and resilient to climate change.

• You can meet for a chat, enjoy the fresh air, connect with friends and make new ones.

• Nature is given a helping hand, and it’s just the first step with more to come...

It takes a village to build a real community garden and to fight for our dwindling local wildlife. So, whether you’re a seasoned gardener; a wildlife lover or just want a greener parish for our kids, come along.

Consider joining the team, just an hour of your time, that spare trowel or home baked cake, spread the word to neighbours or deliver project flyers, it will all make a difference.
