Sarah's Field
Sarah’s Field was gifted to the town by, Mrs Pamela Angela Thorpe, for the enjoyment of the residents of Berkeley. A condition of the gift is to make the area a Wildlife Water Meadow. Mrs Thorpe also asked the council to name the field after her Grandmother Sarah. The field was formerly known as Lynch Ground.
The area, located on Lynch Road, now boasts a pond and small marshland area, a dipping platform, benches, native plants and trees, close mown paths, fences, gates, bins and information boards. The council has appointed Stroud Valleys Project to manage and maintain the area helped out by volunteers.
