This section of the Stroudwater canal has been restored and the towpath is fully accessible for pushchairs. Along this stretch is the area of the canal known as the ocean, near to St Cyrs church. From here you can walk towards Ryeford locks and Ebley. There is also a small playground in Bridgend that you will walk past, as well as the Ship Inn community space which is being developed. 

There is on street parking near St Cyrs church and you can access the canal round the back of Stonehouse court hotel, where you can also stop for refreshments in their garden on your return.
